San Juan County Fire Department, District 6, Lee Acres started as San Juan River District 6 in 1976 with a two bay fire station. Construction of the new station was completed in late June, 2009.

District 6 covers an area of 39 square miles with six pieces of apparatus and approximately 25 volunteer firefighters operating out of one station located on CR 5500 between Farmington and Bloomfield, NM.

District 6 serves San Juan County citizens between Farmington and Bloomfield, NM as well as parts of Northern NAPI. District 6 has automatic aid agreements with Districts 8 & 9. When called upon, District 6 covers the south portion of Farmington, NM, working from Farmington Station 4. District 6 also provides mutual aid support to Bloomfield FD when requested.
